On December 1st, Nomaco was among 16 Triangle-based, family-owned businesses to be honored by the Triangle Business Journal as a 2016 Family Business Award winner.
As explained by TBJ editor Sougata Mukherjee, “Triangle Business Journal’s inaugural Family Business Awards honor multi-generational, family-owned businesses in the Triangle area for overall excellence, innovation, ethics, philanthropy and contribution to the strength of the region.”
Marc Noël accepted the award and spoke on behalf of the Noël/Nomaco family. “I would like to thank our extended family, which is all of our associates,” said Noël. “Without them, no family business, nor our business could be successful. They make it happen and they made it happen for us.”
Noël also thanked his family, especially his wife, Cecile, who came to the United States with him and their 8-week-old daughter in 1979 to establish Nomaco. “Our family is the backbone of it [Nomaco],” he explained. “We hope to create a many, many, multiple generation business here.
