Nomaco's on-site Safety Committee receives the Million Hour Safety Award from NC Commissioner of Labor Cherie Berry.
This June, Nomaco was honored with the Million Hour Safety Award from the North Carolina Department of Labor. Million hour safety awards are given to firms which accumulate one million employee hours with no injuries or illnesses involving days away from work. This prestigious award exemplifies a company’s overall commitment to safety. Nomaco accumulated one million hours from 02/09/2011 to 12/31/2016.
In addition to the Million Hour Safety Award, Nomaco was also recognized for the seventh consecutive year of winning the Gold Safety Award. To qualify for this award, a company must
- Have no fatalities during the calendar year at the site or location for which the award was given and; and
- Have maintained an incidence rate at least 50 percent below the average for its particular industry group.
Associates from our Safety Committee received the awards from North Carolina Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry at the Department of Labor’s annual Safety Award Luncheon.
